4 Surprising Uses Of Lipsticks
Are you a lipstick hoarder? Or someone who bought a shade you loved but doesn’t suit your skin tone? Or just someone looking for ways to utilize your lipstick collection? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, you are definitely in the right place.
For some girls, lipstick is like a powerful weapon that finishes their whole look. It can define the personality or mood of the person wearing it. I am guilty of hoarding tons of lipsticks and tints yet having a hard time to find alternate uses for them.
Good thing internet has the answers I need, and I collated interesting uses of lipsticks.
USE #1 – LIPSTICKS AS BLUSHERS
Okay, so this is one of my favorite alternative uses of lipsticks. If you want a more subtle and natural blusher for your cheeks, any cream in texture can give you what you need. Lipsticks can be used as a blusher. You just need to warm up the product on the back of your hand before applying it to your cheeks.
USE #2 – LIPSTICKS AS EYESHADOW BASE
Since lipsticks are creamy it can be a perfect alternative for eye primers. This has a tacky or paste-like feel that will make your eyeshadows pop and last longer. You can also use lipstick as an eyeshadow but you need to set it with a translucent powder.
USE #3 – LIPSTICKS AS LIPGLOSS
So your favorite lipstick is almost empty. Worry not! You can mix it with clear gel or vaseline to make a lipgloss.
USE #4 – LIPSTICKS AS CONTOURS & HIGHLIGHTERS
Yes, just like cream contours, you can make use of dark and shimmery lipsticks as an alternative for powder contours and highlighters. This has the same effect with the cream contours. But again, since lipsticks are usually tacky, you need a powder to set it in place.
