8-year-old Yemeni boy transported to UAE for treatment
An Emirati surgical team in the Red Sea Coast of Yemen has successfully treated an eight-year-old Yemeni boy of bullet wounds following an attack by Houthi militias.
Following his surgery, Sanbani Obaid has been airlifted to the UAE to continue his medical treatment.
Dr. Ahmed Al Mazrouei, who treated the boy, said there was heavy bleeding inside his chest as the bullet was lodged near his heart, but their timely intervention saved him.
According to news agency WAM, Houthi militias had targetted Obaid’s home in At Tuhayta District, Hodeidah Governorate, with indiscriminate shelling.
