Egyptian forces kill 12 suspected militants in Sinai
At least 12 men suspected of having terrorist connections have been killed after Egyptian security forces raided their hideouts in north Sinai.
According to state news agency MENA, the security forces were forced to retaliate after the suspected militants opened fire during the raid in al-Arish.
More than 320 suspected militants have been killed since the government launched the Sinai campaign in February.
Five rifles, some ammunition and two ready-to-use bombs have been recovered from the scene.
