India court clears Talwars of killing their daughter
Nine years after their daughter and house help were brutally murdered, an Indian court has cleared her parent’s of any involvement in their deaths.
Allahabad High Court on Thursday acquitted Nupur and Rajesh Talwar of charges of murdering their teen daughter Aarushi and house help Hemraj.
In 2008, just days before her 14th birthday, Aarushi was found dead in her bedroom in Noida. The family’s house help was found dead on the terrace a day later.
The Talwars were sentenced to life in prison in 2013 by a lower court based on circumstantial evidence.
They had appealed against their conviction.
