Migrants suffer as cold snap continues in Greece

Thousands of refugees remain at risk in Greece as snow and sub-zero temperatures continue to affect the country.

The migrants are being housed in camps not designed for winter weather, with temperatures falling as low as -20 degrees Celsius this week.

More than 60,000 refugees have been trapped in Greece since the closure by Balkan countries of the main migrant route to Western Europe.

Humanitarian aid organisations have urged the Greek government to move those on the freezing islands to the mainland or to other European countries.
