OIC condemns Baghdad car bomb blast

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, has condemned a terrorist attack on a neighbourhood in Baghdad which has killed at least 55 people and wounded dozens more.

Secretary-General of the OIC, Dr Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen said the act aims at undermining security and stability within Iraq.

A car packed with explosives blew up on Thursday in Al-Baya district, southwest of Baghdad.

IS has claimed responsibility for the attack.
