Sam Smith calls first trip to PH ‘magical’
It looks like Sam Smith had a wonderful time in Manila.
The Grammy-winning singer was in the Philippines over the weekend for his one-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, which is a part of his “In the Lonely Hour” tour.
On his Instagram page, Smith posted several photos during his stay in the country, including those taken at the hotel where he stayed.
In one of his photos, Smith shared a view of the metro which he caption with: “Well Manila – you’re beautiful.”
The singer also took a snap of his view under the coconut trees while he was having his breakfast on Saturday morning.
After his concert, the 21-year-old also shared a video showing his fans who were screaming while waving at him.
In the caption, Smith wrote: “See you soon Manilla.”
He likewise thanked his Filipino supporters for making his album three times platinum in the Philippines.
“Got given this last night to certify that In The Lonely Hour is 3X PLATINUM in the Philippines. Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased my album & made this first trip so magical,” he said.
Smith was supposed to hold his concert in the Philippines last May but he cancelled it due to persistent problems in his vocal chords.
Smith resumed his concert tour in July.
